Hi guys!
I’m trying to install Unreal Engine 5 in Windows 10 via Epic Games launcher but I’m getting an error about directory length. My directory length is about 30 characters, OS limit is 256. Changing OS max directory length is not a solution, Windows advises against doing that.
Had the same problem, waned to install UE5 to the same catalog where my standard games are - but it fails. Path was “D:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\UE_5.0” which is automatically suggested. I changed this to “D:\UE_5.0” and it started to download but really - why previous path was “too long” - seems problem in installer.
