My iMac fan is stressing out when I start UE5. What action do I need to take?
It does take a lot of CPU power to compile shaders, and uses a lot of cores - so it gets hot.
Most of the shader-compiling you’ll have been getting is one-time only when you use the UE features for the first time, so it should get better.
My iMac fan goes loud immediately and my computer is struggling each time UE5 starts, before I do anything. The sound is so unusual for my computer that I’ve justed closed the app each time. But, I’d like to know what my iMac is lacking.
The engine has to compile a lot of shaders before first use. It will run hot.
