Installed revit 2024. After I Installed the latest TM. Opened my model using TM button. Connection is correct. Autosync enabled. Nothing shows up in TM. No idea why it’s not displaying. Solutions???

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community and if you have Twinmotion 2023.1 installed and Revit 2024 this functionality should work. It seems like you are following the right steps. Is this happening in all files and does anything display in the scene graph?

Here are the common steps to follow:

  1. Open Revit project
  2. Open 3D view (best of have a dedicated view for sync to be consistent)
  3. click the Open in Twinmotion button
  4. Select New or Exiting project
  5. Click on Auto Sync
  6. You can then keep making changes to the project

Maybe try to clear the Direct Link cache directory folder. That folder can be found when you click the Connections button > Show settings ellipses (...) then click on browse. Once at that folder location you can find the path and delete the contents. You could otherwise just specify a new location for the directory on your machine.

This is typically the default cache directory location:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\DLExporter

Vincent:

Thanks for the response. I will give it a try later. As for your questions;

This is the first project I've tried, so no it hasn't been happening to any other files.

Nothing has been displayed in the scene graph.

I was searching through the site earlier and wanted to know if I could import a NWC from Navisworks and it appears that's another option. (Not preferred). To confirm that option, I would have to export it via directlink exporter? Will let you know how things pan out.

Thanks

Vincent:

Thanks for the info. I believe I found the issue that's fixable. System requirements for video cards is critical.

With regards to the navisworks and the plugin, what's the video requirements for 2023 version.

Thanks

Tony

Hello ,

Thank you for the follow-up and if you have Navisworks there is a Datasmith Exporter plugin for it as well but it's not yet available for 2024. https://www.twinmotion.com/plugins/navisworks

If you need further assistance with Revit not importing please contact us directly if you haven't already done so.

Hello ,

Hope you are doing well and thank you for the follow up. At this time I am not aware exactly of what the plugin would require but it does check for GPU.

Here are the current requirements for Twinmotion:
