That is as far as it gets. It will just stay at 82 Perent forever. I download everything and it stops. Now at somepoint in the past I did pause instalation and I’m aware that there was a similar bug in the past that would do something similar. So I’ve removed the installl, restarted the ccomputer, started a new install. When that didn’t take I uninstalled the epic game launcher and tried again. This is the same outcome.
I’m installing from the game launcher on C and installing the engine on E-- a high volume portable ssd that I keep projects on.
Any ideas?
ADDENDUM: This just got fascinating. I just tried to install an earlier version, 5.0.3, Also stuck at exactly 82 % what is happening?!
I had the exact same problem. I uninstalled everything. Including epic launcher. Make sure there is a lot of room on your harddrive.
Then I re downloaded the launcher and unreal 5.1 and just left it over night. I’m not sure if it stayed at 82% for a while. But it did work eventually.
I also changed my install location to directly on the drive rather than inside program files. But I’m not sure that changed anything tbh. I think that main thing was having lots of hard drive room and just giving it tonnes of time
I’m not sure if this is the answer, but it is certainly comforting. I’ll let this thing go at it over night, and let you know if that changes anything.
So, after setting Debug to on, I saw many errors declaring “Port night found”…
