2389-error.png

can AnyOne Help?

My processor: AMD Athlon™ II X2 240 Processor 2.80 GHz

Unfortunately that processor from what I can see is only a dual core and the UE4 Editor recommends a quad core processor to run, but it might compile from source just make sure you are running a 64 bit version of Windows.

From Unreal’s FAQ:

What are Unreal Engine 4’s system requirements?

You will need a powerful setup to get started developing with UE4 right now.

Here’s what we recommend:

Desktop PC or Mac
Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later
Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
8 GB RAM

Oh! So what should I do Now?! Upgrade my Hardware?! Is that The Only Way to Run Unreal Engine?! your sure That It will Not Work If I Download the source And Compile It with Visual Studio? :frowning:

Ali first check to make sure you are running a 64 bit version of Windows. Right click on your computer and select properties. Under, “System Type:” it will tell you whether you are running 32 or 64.

If you confirm you are running on a 64 bit version of Windows but still cannot install then you can try compiling from source.

If you are running a 32 bit version of Windows you will need to upgrade to a 64 bit version.
