@TOYSTORYLAB ,
I was reviewing the video and noticed that clicking the Install button triggers a refresh of the Fab Library assets in the background.
This indicates that the Launcher is refreshing at that exact moment, which interrupts the install action.
Try the following steps:
Clear the Launcher cache
- Close the Epic Games Launcher.
- Delete these folders:
- …\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved
- …\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\Common
- Reopen the Launcher.
Unify installation paths
-
In Downloands Settings , set both the Default Install Directory and VaultCache to the same drive.
-
Example:
C:\Epic\EnginesC:\Epic\VaultCache
-
Try clicking Install again.
If that doesn’t work
-
Check if the folder
G:\EPIC\UE_5.6exists. If it does, delete it. -
Restart the Launcher and try installing again.
Verify permissions on external drives (G: and F:)
- Right-click the folder: Properties - Security.
- Make sure your user account has “Full Control”.

Let me know if any of these worked for you , if not, we’ll dig deeper and see what else it could be
