We want to automatically install Unreal via the Offline Installer to various Workstations in our Company. After the installation is finished, the user will not have admin privileges on the machine. When installing the engine to C:\Program Files\Epic Games\… the installation wont work right out of the box. We get access denied errors for Intermediate folders. Out Admin would have to change user rights for over 800 intermediate folders or something. he is not willing to do that. My approach would be to install it to like D:\Epic Games\… or some location where rights are not a problem. But maybe there is a way to configure some magic that would redirect the Intermediate stuff to the user folder or some other place so that our admin would not have to create a custom solution.
How is this problem solved in other big companies?
