Inside Unreal: Create a HoloLens 2 app with Unreal Engine + Mixed Reality UX Tools

After the 2020 Epic MegaJam theme announcement we’re joined by Mixed Reality Developers from Microsoft who will demonstrate how to create a HoloLens 2 app using Unreal Engine and Microsoft’s Mixed Reality UX Tools. Vanessa Araujo and Carl McCaffrey will do a step-by-step tutorial on how to set up a dev environment for HoloLens 2 and how to set up a simple level from scratch. Using Mixed Reality UX Tools they’ll also demonstrate how to create a hand menu with an interactive UI, show how streaming works and how to deploy the app to your HoloLens 2. Sajid Farooq will then share best practices for performance and optimization when developing HoloLens 2 applications, as well as where you can find resources to learn more.
