Insane folliage fps drops

Hi, im having issues with folliage im setting a little bit of grass in my scene and my fps drop from 120 to 40-30 and i havent even added trees yet, my grass is fairly low in tris its like 20-30 tris each type, im also using the culling to stop it from rendering from far, can anyone teach me how to increase performance?

What sort of specs are you running on your machine?

Although the grass may be small in polygon count if you have thousands of pieces of grass it will give any decent machine a hard time.
In saying that, how are you placing the grass?

I kinda fixed the issue bit not the way i wanted, Im running a gtx 980 Poseidon with an fx 8350 not overclocked and 16GB RAM, like I said I got my performance back by turning off the dynamic shadows and static shadows on the foliage tool it seems most of my performance drop was due to dynamic shadows I assume it is since my grass and trees leaves move a lot,also setting my foliage to movable instead of static gave me a super boost on light building times and also i learned thaat if you get out of foliage editor before hitting the play button you get a nice boost in fps, everything is acceptable i just wonder if there’s a way to keep the dynamic shadows the way it is right now for me at least it seems they cannot be used for gaming just for rendering. If you know any other walk-around on this I would like to know how to keep my shadows
