Inquiry Regarding Use of Unreal Engine Logo in Project Trailer

Hello everyone,

I am nearing the completion of setting up my Steam page, along with releasing the trailer for my upcoming game. I intend to use the Unreal Engine logo for the first 0.5 to 1 second of the trailer. To do this, I need to fill out the “ue-trademark-license” document and submit it to the support department for approval, allowing me to use the logo.

However, I’ve encountered an issue in attempting to contact support for further clarifications before submitting the document. I’ve emailed the following addresses without receiving a reply:

I even sent a “kind reminder” to “branding” and “trademark,” yet there has been no response. Given the apparent impossibility of establishing contact, I then reached out to epic games support at “contact@support.epicgames.com.” They replied promptly, informing me that: “This type of inquiry is handled by a different team, and we do not have visibility on this. I wish I could contact them on your behalf, but we are unable to do so due to certain restrictions.”

At this point, the only option seems to be to physically visit Epic HQ and knock on their doors, so to speak.

Has anyone here encountered a similar issue? If so, how did you manage to resolve it?

Thank you.

I think even if you went down to HQ, you wouldn’t get an answer

It’s not because they don’t care, it’s because the information they think is important is already in the docs

I don’t want to read the whole thing again now, but I seem to recall it says you actually have to show the epic logo in your splash screen, unless the product involves porn/violence etc, in which they do want to be contacted.

Hey Clockwork, thank you for your reply.

I suppose you mean Unreal logo instead of Epic logo right?

At least that’s what they say here: Unreal Engine Branding Guidelines and Trademark Usage

It looks like that I have to directly send the document then and see If I can get a response after that.

Yes, sorry, I was talking about the Unreal logo :sunglasses:

Thank you. I will directly send the form then and see what happens next.
