Dear Community Members,

I hope you’re find. I am currently facing the need to reinstall RealityCapture on my PC due to formatting. As an enterprise license holder, I have a few questions regarding the process:

  1. Is there a specific procedure to follow for reinstalling RealityCapture after formatting?
  • Are there any steps I should be aware of to ensure a smooth reinstallation?
  1. Should I deactivate my license before formatting?
  • I want to make sure I handle the licensing correctly during this process.
  1. What does the “remaining swaps” counter in my license details signify?
  • As an enterprise license user, understanding this counter would be helpful.

Hi Nicolas,

  1. Yes make sure to remove the machine license activation before formatting

  2. see 1.

  3. swaps are how many times you can move a license from one machine to another, you start with 5 and they are renewed every year.

So as long as your license is not machine locked when you launch RC on the re-formatted machine you should be up and running having only used one swap.
