Input Action Consistently Firing when matinee is added to blueprint

i have set up a action mapping for usable items it normally works fine but i set up a cutscene to fire when the player uses the action key in a certain spot but as soon as i set up the cutscene the action mapping constantly fires and as soon as i remove the cutscene from the BP the action mapping only fires when its supposed to

TL:DR
why is it that when i connect a matinee to my gate the input action constantly fires
