Increasing resolution of DFAO

Is there any way to increase the resolution/precision of DFAO?
As I’m mostly offline rendering the stuff I do (archviz) I don’t mind a performance hit.
I feel that the “blotchiness” (in lack of a better word) and creeping specks of shadow are hard to get rid of properly with the values the engine uses now (4.7/4.8).

The quality is controlled by the object casting the shadow, you can increase that resolution by opening the Static Mesh and then rebuilding the distance field at a higher quality.
