Are the poly’s flat? If I have bent quads I often get a noticeable crease in the smoothing
This particular issue might have two other causes, apart from smoothing.
Screen-space ambient occlusion can give such artifacts on concave parts of the mesh under certain conditions.
It also can be caused by cascaded shadow maps.
Hi there, I just cant fix this… I tried a thousand things. The Polys on this surface have all the same smoothinggroup, but in the rendering you can see some nasty horizontal shadows along the edge of the polys.
I checked export smoothing groups - I stitched all those UV´s nicely together - tried recompute tangents/normals
any ideas?
