I would like to ask a question. I have a very strange issue. My FPS number in the editor is so inconsistent. Once I have 70-80 fps, once I only have 45-55 on the same level with the same settings. Has anyone experienced something like this?
Probably depends on what is in view. The poly count, textures and lighting is what impact the frame rate and that can vary depending on where you are in the level.
Everythink is the same. The fps is constant. When I press start button I got 45-55 fps. After that when I start again I got 70-80 fps. When I play the fps don’t change. And this is a basic level.
Your pc could be using resources elseware with background processes.
You could try running the editor with a higher priority (on windows)
You can also check if your energy plan is set to high perfomance. Otherwise the pc may slow down after a while to save on power (reduced cpu clock etc)
Unfortunately don’t work. But the interesting think is that I have low GPU, CPU and memory usage as well. I have 55% memory, 38% GPU and 39% CPU usage and I only have 45 fps on a basic level.
Interesting it is getting worst and worst. I develop (debugging) since 2 hours. Now I only have 35-40 fps on same level. I don’t change the level. I try what you told to me. I dont know how can I exactly figure it out. So I shot pictures.
You do seem to have warning logs probably constantly firing in the output window. I would suggest clearing those problems first.
You seem to be trying to access index -1 on some array (can’t see the rest of the message).
There is also a warning in APC_Controller
Constant logging can impact performance and I’m guessing these are messages shown on something that is using tick.
