I have a problem with the monitor image when the focus on UE editor is active (See this video)
It all started after I changed the graphics card from GTX750 to GTX1050Ti.
This probliem appears ONLY if active focus on UE editor (or sometimes when UE editor in the background). ANY editor (I have 4.20 bin, 4.22 bin, 4.19 source, 4.20 source, 4.21 source, 4.22 source). On both monitors. But on the first monitor, this happens more often.
The image moves to the left, which causes auto-alignment with a black screen.
I wrote in Nvidia support. Did everything as they asked me. As a result, they told me that the problem is not in the graphics card and not in the Nvidia driver. After they suggested that I write in UE support.
My dxdiag. Monitors are connected to the computer by HDMI cables.
Can someone help me solve this mysterious problem?
On the second screen was opened UE 4.22 source and yes, it crashed with the same error.
#UPD2:
I found a temporary solution to the problem: start recording the screen with the OBS Studio. While the OBS is recording the screen, screen flickering is very rare or not at all.
I returned old GTX750 so that the errors disappeared. I have no more time for this problem. It is unfortunate that it will remain unresolved. Maybe in the future I will return to this issue.
This looks like typical busted GPU issue, did you try seeing diffrent 3d applications? try run other games like UE4 game jam entries for examplw, hit alt-enter to go window mode and try focusing
It seems like something is super specificly broken in your GPU that only Slate renderer triggers. Atleast thats how it looks like on first glance, it would indeed be hard to service it as it probably pass tests in serivce center.
What you could do is try to switch “Default RHI” (rendering library) in project settings to either DX12 or even , this will definitely change way rendering work and may stop the problem. And i guess hope to future versions of UE4 and nvidia drivers will change in the way that this problem disappears.
There also high possibility of other factors, would be good to try this GPU on different system to see if issue reapets on it to make sure this is indeed GPU issue.
