In desperate need of help getting Auto-Rig Pro to export characters over properly please?

I recently made characters with Auto Rig Pro and I’m trying to export them to UE5, however, it went very wrong. For the rabbit, his face bones either didn’t transfer over properly or something else went wrong because no matter what I did, the face bones would not move with the rest of the head in UE5 but it does in Blender. For the record I didn’t change any relationships between bones and all my custom bones are labeled as cc_ but it may be caused by some of Auto Rig’s natural bones being unset from custom, I’m not sure. If it is then how do I fix it?


As for the cat file, it won’t export at all as it uses a custom bone that allows me to splint the model apart, the legs have the c_thigh.b attached to the custom bone and that bone isn’t parented to another but instead is held by constraints. Even if it isn’t it still doesn’t work, I also have stretch on and that could be a problem but even with No Parents selected, it just doesn’t go through. Can anyone help please?


I have the same problem with Auto Rig Pro models built with custom bones.

I would like to know how to export to UE5 with custom bones. If you are lucky, an email to Auto Rig Pro developer will help find a solution; sometimes you get a reply.

However, I was able to export the face bones with Auto Rig Pro.

  1. Use Auto Rig Pro FBX export option

  2. Checkmark these export settings.

I’m having the same problem. Auto-Rig Pro is useless to get a control rig in Unreal. I managed to create a fully functioning control rig to my character in Blender but when I import the file into Unreal the control rig is gone and even the textures don’t come through. Tried everything. Useless add-on. Waste of money.

I am facing problems with export too. in the engine i have error that i am missing root bone, with other settings i am missing ik bones and sometimes only c-tray bone exports. Anyone know what are the correct settings for Unreal Engine Export?
