In cloth simulation, part of mesh falls on the ground

Hello all,
I was playing around with the cloth simulation and I am having a little issue: some parts of my mesh falls on the ground when simulating cloth.
I used a character from Mixamo. Edited it in blender to assign the bow, the two ribbons and the two rings at the end of the ribbons a different material and imported back to UE4. Then I painted the cloth and simulated. When simulating the two rings fall on the ground. Any ideas?

I’ve had this issue several times, and just went back in and removed those bits of the mesh since I couldn’t find the answer. Would love to know how this should be handled.
