Impossible to spawn 99 Test Players (36.00)

Summary

When I try to spawn 100 Test Players at the beginning of the round, they spawn extremely slowly. First 55 Test Players in ~10 minutes and then close to ~12 minutes after game start, the Fortnite shows error “We hit a roadblock. Network connection lost” and the game stops.

Earlier (maybe a few weeks ago, don’t remember which FN/UEFN version), spawning those 99 Test Players happened very quickly, so that it was usable for testing purposes. Not sure if it broke with 36.00 or already earlier.

I can’t think of any heavy continuous Verse processing that would explain this.

Island Settings:

  • Max Players: 100
  • Test Players on Start: FILL
  • Test Player Behavior: NONE
  • Custom Test Player Definition: NONE

  1. In UEFN, change Island Settings:
  • Max Players: 100
  • Test Players on Start: FILL
  • Test Player Behavior: NONE
  • Custom Test Player Definition: NONE
  1. Start Session
  2. Start Game

Expected Result

The game starts (with 99 spawned players) in reasonable time

Observed Result

The game starts extremely slowly. After 55 added Test Players (~10 mins after game starts), no more Test Players are added. “Network connection lost” error at ~12 mins
