I want to try ue4 but I herad about real problems compiling ue4.
It s true thats impossible to compile with certain hardware? Do I need to buy Visual c?? what does happen when the 90Days are over?
do I have reinstall Visual c???
Does Ue4 need directx?
gives Epic games the money back if it does not work?
Firstly, you don’t have to compile it yourself if you’re scared about that… you can actually download a binary version if that’s what you prefer.
Onto the actual compile… I personally didn’t find it hard. To answer your questions:
I have not heard of certain hardware not being able to compile it, but I do believe you may need a 64bit CPU and version of Windows to do so (can someone confirm?).
You do not have to buy Visual C++. You can use the free express edition to compile it.
What 90 days? If you’re talking about VC++ express edition, you just have to register, it’s free.
You don’t need the DirectX SDK, but you have to install a specific version of the runtime for the compile to work.
I don’t believe you can get your money back if it doesn’t work, but it’s only US$19, and assuming your system meets the minimum requirements I can’t see why it wouldn’t work.
