So for starters, my mesh is made from multiple meshes in 3Ds Max as shown below, you can see the 3 bounding boxes in the image:
However after importing the mesh as a skeletal mesh I get the following:
Where the feathers on the head_feathers and body_feathers and some other features do not appear.
When exporting the FBX in 3Ds Max I’m careful to select all the of the geometry and the bones. As a matter of fact, if I import just the mesh all of the geometry appears as it should.
Edit: So after some more digging, it seems the parts of my model that are not showing up are using skin wrap modifiers to drive animation. Is it possible to add these to my skeletal mesh?
