Hi, so i made a 256x256 png image and i imported it in the widget editor and set one to 80x80, 96x96, 256x256, and 320x320 and i noticed that the 80x80 is very poor in quality,
is there a way to make 1 size png not lose quality when i resize it in widget editor or do i have to make differenct size?
Since this image will be a UI element. There’s more stuff out there but there’s no one settings that says ‘don’t make it blurry’.
Same image at 256x256 & 80x80:
Does it look OK to you?
set one to 80x80
Also - how did you do it and how are you testing the blurriness?
yes! I saw this in one of your replies in the forum but it did not work for me, then i tried producing a smaller size image and match it to its real size and work a little but not so good, so i quit it
im trying it out now with UMG, but my brain hurts and my nose bleeds, here is what i’m
trying to replicate, do you think i can achieve this with UMG?
UMG and Materials are complex enough beasts on their own. Learning both at the same time? Mhm. Yeah, no. I feel that with materials you can keep learning for years and still not even enter the deep end of the pool…
One good way to learn is to parametrise stuff you’re unsure of:
