Importing **into** MetaHuman

Is there a way to import a human figure/character from other tools into Metahuman?


  • sculpture (zbrush)
  • 3D scan
  • other human characters generated elsewhere / 3rd party software.

is there a file format or supported standard for importing?


You can add additional meshes (static or skeletal) and other features to MetaHumans once they’re in Unreal Engine. Basically, just about anything you can bring into Unreal can be used to customize an MH.

You can also export the MH components to bring them into outside apps to create custom MH elements (clothing for example) to be skinned to the MH skeleton and the returned to Unreal for use with your MHs.
