Importing From Quixel Bridge Sooo Sloooow zZzzzZzzzz...

Hey,

is it just me or is it very time consuming to import from Quixel Bridge?
By the time it’s imported and renamed the assets and put in the correct folder structure,
i’d say it takes almost 5 to 10 min per 3D asset (2k packed).
Is there a faster way to import a lot faster?
Or import without the need of a running project?

Thx.

Ok, well nevermind, you can export multiple assets at once but i got to warn you, if you do,
close any other stuff that’s open …
My processes went from 105 to skyrocket 650  and cpu load on 100 % for an hour …
So i watched my PC freeze for first half hour, then the next half hour it was importing but still at 100 % load.
So idk sit back and watch a movie or something because i couldn’t do anything else lol.

Hi,
do you have found some tricks to speed this import in UE ? Me too, sometimes it’s very long (10 mns) to import just 1 asset.
Thanks.

Bridge is limited by your system specs and by UE’s architecture, @KingKadriK. It can only import assets as quickly as the engine and your computer will allow it to. You may find it faster in your situation to attempt to manually drag/drop assets into the Content Browser.
