(Importing from Blender 4.2 to UE5) Can't import a skeletal mesh without it being in pieces

I know this has most certainly been asked a dozen times, but I can’t find the solution for my current problem.

I’ve got a mesh in Blender with an armature and a single bone controlling the few parts of the mesh that need to be animated. I made the only animation I needed in blender already and I need to import this with the model as well.

However, I cannot get this mesh imported without it being split into all ten pieces that make up the mesh.

I know I did this before but I can’t for the life of me figure it out. I tried setting the relations of the whole thing to make it a single user. I’ve tried setting everything as a parent to the armature (i think?)

I honestly can’t understand everything that is being done and I’ve been completely unsuccessful even though I know I’ve done this for simpler animated models like this before. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
