I am trying to import an e57 scan file, but it creates a lot of .■■■ files instead.
I imported the .■■■ files and aligned the images.
The problem is that only a couple of images get recognised and the result is really bad.
I tried increasing the max features and max mpx settings but that didn’t do anything, isn’t there a way to just directly import an e57 file instead of having to convert it?
Every input we are able to import of a laser scan type, gets converted to our internal format called .lsp this does not change the way the information is represented and suits as the same basically. If the data did not get aligned well into one component it is either due to the way those shots and laser scans were taken (missing overlap mostly) or just a bad quality of the visual representation of the surrounding. You can try to help this with Control points for example. Place few of them around the scene next to the disconnected parts and try to align again.
