Importing collision from Maya

I can’t seem to export or import my geo with collision properly. I think I have the collision named properly in Maya. I selected the Geo then selected the collision geo for it then used the Game Exporter option. My masterCube in Maya seems to be the weirdly placed collision box in Unreal. The box also looks like it’s beveled, is that supposed to happen?

I think you need to group them and name the group the same as the main mesh. It shall do the trick!

I tried that but to no avail. It shows nothing in the simple collision view after the grouping.

I didn’t activate my license for Maya this month, but I still have it working for 3DSMax, let me try this and get back to you.

Here are a few errors during import. Not sure why it says my mesh is number 0011? It’s supposed to be 001…
Actually there may be something wrong on the mesh settings itself inside Unreal.

I wonder if it has something to do with not deleting old versions of each one I upload. It says in the error something about a name that’s numbered weird like _0011? But I force delete the bad imports so I don’t know what’s going on.

I have created a small prop (it should ressemble a fountain, lol) and called it “Fountain”, cloned it as copy, renamed the copy to “UCX_Fountain_001”, grouped both and called the group “Fountain” too. When importing it received the name Fountain, so it was ok too. Follow the picture of the mesh details with colision turned on:

I think maybe are those numbers at the end making the confusion… to test this, just rename in the same model as I did and if it works, try a name change until you find a combination which pass.

I tried changing the name quite a few times in Maya but no luck getting any of my collision to show. Thanks for trying!

I will try sort of replicate that picture on your 1st post using same naming. Got Maya installed on another machine as trial. Or maybe you can send a link for download that Maya project?
