Hello there.
I am brand new to Unreal and currently just trying to get a basic level up and running, but still explore and see what unreal can really do. Right now, what I’ve like to do is use the asset packages and meshes from some of the various marketplace items such as Effects Cave, Blueprint Office, and Sci-fi Hallway to try and make a few basic rooms. Is there a way I can do this on the MAC version and if not, where can I go to find some downloadable assets to use in the level?
Thanks ahead of time.
Just download what you like from the market place -> go into the editor (so start the sample) -> right click onto the asset that you would like to have in your project -> migrate -> choose the folder from your new project. But keep in mind to keep the folder structure!! Otherwise you could get problems
I dont know if it is different on a mac, but theoretically it should work the same ^^
Alright I’ll give this a try…
I have just tried moving the files over manually, but that does not seem to have taken. I’m going to try a few things and see what works, but it’ll be nice to have this as a direction. Thank you very much .
Normally, when you keep the folder structure, it should also work when you move the folders -> but with the migration tool you will be on the safe side
Hey … quick question. How do you set up a… well in source they’re just referred to as level transitions, in Unreal. I want to potentially add one in to otherwise prevent the very clunky running of what would inevitably become a massive, massive level. I’m trying to build a small subway scene that will hopefully transition to a large corporate plaza.
So your problem is that you want to have a good performance in a large level?
