Importing Archicad models (.pln) to Unreal Engine

Hello. I was curious if there was a better/more effective way to import files from Archicad (.pln) to Unreal. Right now, I am using Datasmith and it’s fine, but it’s not perfect. I’ve heard of ways to optimize geometries but I don’t know where to start. It seems to be the standard to import .fbx but I’m just wondering if anyone has had experience with importing BIM models from Archicad.
