UE5.6. I’m importing and retargeting the demo sample animations. The character does move, but the mesh slowly walks forward out of the capsule/camera. every few steps it slides ahead then resets/loops. I want the capsule to follow the root motion so the mesh doesn’t drift away. If I disable root motion the animation looks terrible and the feet slide, so I’d like to keep the perfect foot placement these provide. What is the correct setup (Character BP, Blendspace, Animation BP settings) to make the capsule use root motion instead of the mesh wandering off?
