I can import a .srt subtitles file using the Content Browser, and the editor produces a new Basic Overlays
asset. When I double click it to see its contents, however, it comes up blank.
I can look at the .uasset
file in a hex editor, and the string data does appear to be there (though the contents are otherwise unilluminating). When stepping through the C++ importing code, it does look like the code is doing the right thing.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this functionality not quite ready for use?
