Imported images have different colors than original. It's not the color space or sRGB!

I am having a little bit of an existential crisis. When I import an image into Unreal Engine the colors are substantially different (any image, any project, tried all encodings/color spaces/sRGB/compression settings).

See attached screenshot. The image on the left is displayed using Aseprite but any other program (Photoshop, preview, browsers, etc) show it just like that. On the right is Unreal editor. The checkerboard is just how the two program display transparency, focus on the blue for example and see how different it is.

The way it is shown in the Unreal editor carries over to the final game build.

Is this normal? Anyone knows what’s going on?

Thank you!

For anyone who might find this question in the future: I found out that the drivers that my Samsung monitor wants you to install, set a color profile in windows that basically messed up colors. I guess Unreal ignores the system color profile unlike every other program and thus they would display different colors.
