Imported animations not working after assigning new skeleton

I’m using UE 5.2.1. Basically I have some animations that I downloaded and when I mport them with the skeletal mesh and skeleton, unreal tells me that the mesh doesn’t have a valid skeleton so it creates a new one and after assigning the new skeleton to the animations, they don’t work, they basically show as an A pose without any movement. In 5.0 and 5.1 I used to import the third person template content pack and assign the UE4 Mannequin skeleton to the animation and it would work but from 5.2 onwards this method doesn’t work anymore. What can I do in this case?
