Hello, I have a geometry animation USD file that works in Omniverse. I was wondering if anyone know how to import this animation and play it in Unreal. I tried Import USD Animation option, but it needs a skeleton and I’m not sure what to add there since it’s a time-series geometry animation. Thank you!
Just want to provide a little bit more information for this in case anyone has a solution.
Animation works if I import USD through USD Stage Actor, but it doesn’t even show USD properties. If I use Omniverse USD Stage Actor. Both import options seem to have some challenges:
Via USD Stage Actor:
- Animation works
- Material is not rendered correctly
- Cannot live session with Omniverse
Via Omniverse Stage Actor:
- Animation is missing. There is no USD properties shown for the file and no time field.
- Materials work if I create one and attach the texture png
- Can do live session with Omniverse
