Hey! Sorry for the late reply. In my opinion, Alembic’s great for cinematic work—been using it in our ongoing projects. UE5 handles geometry cache well for visuals, especially complex sims. That said, there are some setbacks, like less flexibility compared to FBX rigs if you need interactivity or reusable animations. But for high-quality visuals, it’s definitely worth considering.
