Import Model & Texture Reprojection

Hello.

I’m leaving a post because I have another question.

This is a question related to the import model and Texture Reproduction function.

I didn’t like Mesh in the model I was working on, so after I did the export model

After modifying Geometry in Blender,

I’m back with the ‘Import Model’ function.

However, unlike usual, there was one strange thing.

Before that, when there was a similar situation, after I took the model that modified Geometry by using the ‘Impoet Model’

I did ‘Bake’ the original texture by ‘Texture Reproduction’.

But today, I didn’t do “Texture Reproduction” separately, but the texture was applied.

Even if you look at the detailed options in the import model, there was nothing related to automatic ‘Bake’.

Before that, I did a separate “Texture Reproduction” but am I wrong to remember?

Or is it newly changed through the patch?

If it’s newly patched and the function has changed, can I specify that the texture is not automatically baked?

Hi @Nuriarchive,
there weren’t any changes in the model import functionality.
If the model already had the texture it was imported also with the texture.
If you don’t want to use the imported texture, you can unwrap your model again and reproject the texture or compute new texture, if you want.

Oh, I see.
If so, I’ll have to do a new ‘Texturing or Texture Reprojection’ if I don’t want to use the texture of the model imported by the ‘Import Model’ function.
As far as I know, I can’t erase unnecessary textures without creating new ones, is that right?
Is there a way to erase the texture that automatically follows?

I want to erase unnecessary textures before doing the next thing.

Yes, that is right. You need to have created another texture to be able delete the imported/original one.

Yes, I see.
Thank you for your answer.
