Import FBX Into Level - Creating custom static mesh component

I want to import an fbx into level, as an actor, but it creates static meshes and I need to use my custom static mesh. How can I do that? I tried to remove/replace them on ‘construct’, but it’s not working, it’s doing it only in the scene, not in blueprint editor. Is there a way to modify the ‘import into level’ script/plugin to use my custom static mesh component? Or to modify the variable type of the components? Thanks!
