Import fails with import button but not with drag-drop

Hi guys,

I have been importing static meshes in FBX format for months without a problem using the Import button in the Content browser. But recently, immediately after selecting the file, I get a “failed to create asset” message and the log says no mesh could be found. The import options dialog never appeared.

I tried with different meshes, all created in Rhinoceros 6, each with a few thousand poligons, but got the same error. I also tried importing them as OBJ; same result.

But just now I tried dropping the FBX files directly into the Content browser and the import process worked fine. The import dialog showed up and the SM assets were created as usual.

I have no idea why this happens, but hope you guys can look into it.
