Import and Alignment Order?

Does the order of import of photos or videos have an effect on the quality of the point cloud?

For instance, if I started with the widest of the shots, did an initial alignment, added more coverage, ran another alignment, each time adding coverage that gets closer and closer- adding more details as I go- would that lead to a better result than if I just dumped all the coverage in at once and ran one alignment?

Anecdotally, adding coverage like this does seem to yield better results- I suspect the way the temp files work is that some information is saved about previous alignments, and thus any future alignment uses the same as a jumping off point, but it would be interesting to confirm my observations.

Yes and no. Having fluent motion from further shots to close ups is very good for the results and overall alignment. Putting it all in though, against doing it by steps should have no influence on the result. What does, is the realignment. If you try to realign the component a few times, it may get better and better. Not too much but a little surely.
