I am using the DataSmith Library to import glb files . However I do not want to import the glb into the scene . Is there a way to set any option in the importer so that it just creates the assets in the content library and then later on I can add it to my desired scene ?
Right now you can import in a temporary scene and just delete it after importing. Not pretty but doing what you want.
5.1 onwards, do not use Datasmith glTF importer. Instead just use import or import into level from the content browser. Thus you could just do a drag and drop, or right click import to get the glTF imported in content browser without populating the scene.
