Images Come In Incorrect

I just downloaded Reality Capture and am having issues with the images I am bringing in.  If I bring in .DNG files they are showing up 1/6 the resolution that they should. If I convert those images to another file format like a .TIF or .PNG they come in the correct size but they look really bad.  There is banding and noise throughout the photo.  If I open these same photos in Photoshop or Lightroom they are crystal clear.  I have done some searching and I can’t seem to find anyone else coming up with this problem.  Has anyone else had this issue and if so were you able to fix it.

I am shooting with a Canon 5D Mark IV and am on Windows 10 for the OS.

Make sure to convert your raw files to a *.tif beforehand and also make sure you’re doing so in 8bit, not 16bit.

If you need best quality out of your photos, processing them in lightroom or other software and saving as 8 bit tiff or jpg is best way.

It was probably that I had them in 16bit, I’ll switch it to 8bit when I get home today and try again.  Thanks for the help guys.

The 16bit seemed to be it.  I exported as 8bit tiffs this time and everything seems to be working now.  Thanks again to both of you for the help.
