Ok, I got it.
RC found the images in the cache folder as well.
It would perhaps be smart if RC could skip its “cache” folders.

are they also present multiple times in the project (in Images at the top of 1Ds)?
Wasn’t there some problem posted by Benjamin von Cramon that had a similar issue? I wasn’t able to find it, but I think it had something to do with something being present that shouldn’t. Sorry for being so nebulous…
These images were from a different photogrammetry application.
Now I always tick off the “Include subfolders” option when I import image folders.
