Image Plate Plug-in - Image Sequence is not recognized

Hi,
yesterday I watched a tutorial how you can use the “Image Plate Plug-in”. Everything was clear. But unfortunately my image sequence is not recognized. I imported a .“png” and a “.jpg” sequence. I can select these sequences in the sequencer (in the Image Plate Camera Component ) But nothing is shown. I get no images. For sure I checked the Image Plate media settings. Everything is setup correctly…Also the right wildcard is set. (.png or .jpg) For some reason the Unreal Engine is not able to find the image sequence.

For this reason it must be bug. I know…This Plug-in is in beta status. But it would be perfect if this bug could be fixed.

Best regards, Andreas

It´s exactly the same issue I have… The sequence is only 0-frame long… I hope this will be fixed in the next update…

Take a look at this setup. This should work:

Thank you very much for your support. I tried this setup. Unfortunately it don´t work. My image sequence is still black. (and only 1-frame long)

I too am having difficultly. I feel I have reproduced the steps shown in the YouTube tutorial and elsewhere on forums exactly. The strip in the sequencer timeline is always 0-frames long. I can manipulate it in the timeline but it’s shown as just a black screen.

The frame length seems to become accurate if you leave the wildcard blank. But it’s still a black image as far as I can tell.

…man. Have been trying windows 10 with Nvidia. Exact same behavior on Mac OS 10.11 el capitan with iGPU.

This is actually what was causing the problem for me. Thank you. I believe the confusion stems from the most prominent video tutorial appearing to use imported textures as the frames as opposed to having a folder of images manually placed in the project files.

This would explain the file extension/wild card usage that was baffling me somewhat.

Can you tell us exactly how you get it working? I did all the steps described in the screenshot…But I have still the same problems… A little bit frustrating…

UPDATE: It is working! I mixed up an image-sequence. It was my fault. Now everything is fine.

Leaving the wildcard blank allowed my images to show up.

Did you solve the problem?I have the same problem as you.

I know,this is the

path problem.Using the local path of the image, you don’t need to drag it to UE4
