image as texture

i am trying to create something like an exposure panel on which there is to be an image.
I have created an image on the uv of the 3d model but even if I push the image to 2k with 300ppi and increase the number of polygons of the panel the image is grainy up close.
can anyone advise me how to maintain high definition without creating an even heavier image

In the Texture, try changing the Texture Group to ‘2D Pixels (unfiltered)’

This should give you the sharpest possible image.
