I'm using Twinmotion 2023.1 Preview 1 on an M1 Max MacBook Pro. One thing I've noticed since going from TM 2022.2.3 to the version mentioned is that most surfaces (especially vegetation) shows so dark in shade/shadow that it appears almost black.

If you zoom in, you can see the texture is just very dark. Attached are two views: The lighter one is 2022.2.3 and the darker is the same view in 2023.1 Preview 1.

Thank you! That's what I suspected. I've already downgraded back to 2022.2.3. Luckily I haven't done much work in the 2023.1 Preview 1 app. Crossing fingers that the next release will fix it! I look forward to using the new interface!

Hey Rex/Emre,

I recommend waiting on the official release of 2023.1 for use on commercial projects for this reason, preview versions are great to see what's coming to Twinmotion, but they will likely have a few bugs here and there.

As for Datasmith, you can expect to see support for ARM-based Archicad 26 alongside the release of 2023.1 PR2, which should be available in a week or two.

Thanks!

hey rex, didn't realize it was you. 2023.1 had some really good updates, but unfortunately it had a few bugs that made me stay at 2023.2.3. it's a shame ventura / ac26 / tm aren't getting along too well still.

Yes, especially the ARM version of ArchiCAD 26 not having a Twinmotion OUT option.
