Anyone knows why the foliage brush wouldn’t show on meshes that I have imported myself (as opposed to ones that came in KF2)?
The brush dome shows up on top of debris meshes that I placed from the game, but not over my meshs, even with collision (simple box unchecked) and with all built, the foliage stactic mesh filter is ticked too, and the map package saved.
Just a thought, but there is a minimum angle for each foliage. Could it be you’re trying to paint the foliage on a surface that’s angle is out of range?
Nope, it’s the same thing regardless of slope
Might be related to streaming levels, load the streamed levels individually and try again
I guess not too, I havent created streaming volumes yet so it’s loading all at once
did you try with a mesh that has an actual collision shape? not using per-poly collision. could be that
Managed to get it working, actual collisions did work but I couldn’t set on the terrain because it was a complicated mesh, turns out it has to block rigid bodies (and it’s another checkbox besides the one to not use simple collisions) to accept foliage, I can place them now but the light build crashes if I have a foliage actor on the map (not related to lightmap size)
