I'm having an issue with Sequencer in UE5.3 that didn't exist in 4.26, please help!

Hello everyone! I’ve been working on a new project for the past few months and it’s the first one I’ve done in UE5 and all previous projects were in 4.26. These projects are environments for Live Streaming, but there are many unique twists to them. One of the unique features involves triggering an animation in Sequencer, but while this animation plays, we can still do live mocap with the face, head, and select body parts. Up to this point it’s been pretty straight forward and simple to create, but now in 5.3 it doesn’t work at all. So I’m wondering if either something has changed in Sequencer or is this just a glitch. If it is a change, then can someone help me figure out way around this?

I’ve made two small sample projects, one in 4.26 and the other in 5.3, along with a PDF that has instructions on how to duplicate the issue I’m having. If anyone can help then I’ll rellay appreciate it. I’ll even hire and pay somone if they can figure this out for me. The Dropbox link is below if anyone is interested.
