i’m trying to set this variable (circled in red) with the component (circled in blue). but alway when i click in the component the details windows content change to the value of the component and i can’t set the value in the variable.

No, this is only a example. The problem is not the type of the variable. But i can’t set it because when i click and hold on the mesh component in the blueprint compenents window to drag this variable to the details panel, the window detail change to the detail of the component that I last clicked.

The component circled in blue is not a “skeletal mesh”, its a “skeletal mesh component” so you’re trying to set “skeletal mesh component” to a “skeletal mesh” variable in another “skeletal mesh component” variable
