I'm curious about the function of this button(landscape/paint/layers/create layer)

After being updated to version 5.5, I found that two new button in landscape painting.

I understood how to use the second one. But I dont know the other one.
If i click the first one, the blank layer is formed.

I want to know how can i use this.
If you know about it, please tell me or give me link of video of this.

This button is used for exactly what you’ve described - creating blank layer - you can have multiple layers in landscape painting
