I think this is definitely a bug.
When I trying to edit pose in IK retargeter, at some point, the bone rotate is not work and the mesh is begin to twist.
I can’t rotate those bones anymore. No matter how much degree I rotate, the bone and mesh remained the same.
Is there any way to solve this? Or we have to give up use this function?
I just do some experiment and I’ve found a thing.
there are end bone of fingers in metahuman mesh.
If you rotate it in IK retargeter with and angle, the mesh has chance to twist.
For anyone have same issue, you can try to edit pose without change and thing of those end bones of fingers.
e.g. Do NOT rotate the bone shows below:
I am having the same issue. Also noticed basically this happens to all the finger bones, the more I rotate them the more they snap into weird orientations. I think it is better to rotate them only once. Really hope they can add function to reset each bone instead of the whole pose so I don’t have to do it all over again
